Experience
Roger has more than 25 years experience in insurance law, advising and representing insurers, employers and individuals on insurance reserves, liability, quantum, indemnity and strategic claims management arising from motor vehicle accidents, public liability and workers' compensation claims. With his highly regarded industry background, Roger provides relevant solutions for his clients.
As a qualified mediator, Roger conducts settlement conferences, pre-trial conferences, mediations and conciliations. He is also an experienced trial lawyer having acted as counsel in trials in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Work Cover as well as appeals in the Court of Appeal.
As a legal panel member of a major Western Australian insurer, Roger advises and represents the client on public liability, motor vehicle, personal injury, workers compensation and general liability claims.
Roger is chairman of the Suburban Turf Cricket Association and presides over numerous hearings involving transgressions of the rules of cricket, including allegations of abuse, assault, racial vilification and misconduct.
Prior to joining Talbot Olivier, Roger was a founding partner of Marks & Sands Lawyers.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws.
Memberships: Law Society of Western Australia, Law Council of Australia, Board member of Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA), Committee member of AILA WA.
Publications/presentations: Roger has presented and chaired a number of Australian Insurance Law Association seminars and has also submitted articles to AILA News.
