Experience

As a senior associate Trevor is skilled in dealing with a wide range of litigation matters, representing clients from Small Medium Enterprises to large corporations across a number of industries. 

He is experienced in advising on commercial matters including the sale and purchase of businesses, building and construction disputes, general contractual claims, all forms of insolvency matters, compliance and trade practices legislation and professional negligence claims. He also advises on Corporations Act matters, property law and corporate regulatory issues in particular financial services regulation. 

Career highlights

• Advised a significant and award-winning construction company on a contractual matter, specifically relating to identifying whether a binding contract existed. The client was to undertake work for the developer on a potential multi-million dollar hotel development in mid - west Western Australia.
• Advised the proprietors of a large Western Australian fruit and vegetable wholesale business with regards to town planning and zoning disputes and claims involving negligence and fraud against local government officers.
• Represented a popular Western Australian tour operator in relation to professional negligence claims against its accountants, in addition to advising the client on numerous complex insolvency issues.
• Represented several investors in failed tax-effective managed investment schemes and successfully negotiated favourable settlements for all investors.
• Acted for a prominent ceramics supplier in relation to various contractual disputes and professional negligence claims against suppliers of materials.
• Successfully advised and assisted in the conduct of various complex Supreme Court proceedings to wind up and sell a large timeshare scheme in the south of Western Australia.
