Summary 

  • Provided advice regarding completion of an application for Grant of Probate of the deceased's Will where there was ambiguity in whether the executor/beneficiary was one person or two.
  • Advised on a difficult administration worth over $2 million where the beneficiaries raised numerous issues regarding each other's conduct. This required guidance on how the executors could continue with regard to certain clauses in the Will, and involved mediation between the parties.
  • Provided advice to construction beneficiary's entitlement under deceased de facto's Will.
  • Acted on complicated administration of an estate involving unequal appropriation of assets between beneficiaries in circumstances that attracted stamp duty, and involved Supreme Court approval for appropriation of assets.
  • Advised on an estate involving transfer of control of trust to our clients, administration of the estate, Inheritance Act claim and the liquidation of a company in which the deceased invested.
  • Advised a family where the deceased died interstate, leaving siblings and parents with significant liabilities owed to a bank and the ATO.
