• Successfully defended a national financial institution against an individual claiming a repetitive strain injury (RSI), in one of the longest cases in its time in the Western Australian District Court. An upsurge in workplace RSI claims had drawn massive media attention. This case was of particular interest to unions, employers and insurers.
• Acted for a transport servicing company in a workers compensation claim brought by a former employee who had been hired overseas. The matter involved jurisdictional issues regarding the application of Australian law.
• Acted for an employer, who had subcontracted out work involving the digging of site trenches, in defending a case brought against them by an employee who had been injured as a result of driving a bobcat into a trench. It was successfully defended and the claim was brought against the subcontractor.
